Frequently Asked Questions
Does ASHA offer a doorstep collection or delivery service?
No, not at this time as costs are too prohibitive to make this option viable. However, it's worth asking any of our local shop managers to see if something can be arranged locally for certain situations.
What goods don't you accept?
We do not accept furniture, white goods such as washer/dryers/dishwashers, cassettes or VHS tapes. Also broken items or items missing vital pieces won't be sold.
Will you accept clothing that's heavily stained or torn?
Yes. We can sell poor conditioned clothing items to a supplier where they will be recycled or exported to other developing nations. So even clothing items you might throw away can still raise money to help support charities in India, East Africa, and Pakistan.
Can I volunteer at ASHA?
Yes. ASHA heavily relies on volunteers to keep our shops running. This includes anyone doing the Duke of Edinburgh award. Please stop by your local shop and speak to the manager about volunteer opportunities.
